PANDOREA jasminoides  BOWER VINE.  Glossy green leaflets.  Flowers white to pink with darker throats.


PASSIFLORA  PASSION VINE.  Various varieties with deeply lobed leaves, and large flowers, in shades of blue, lavender, pink, white, red or combination.


PENTAS lanceolata  STAR CLUSTERS.  Spreading plant, 2 to 3 ft., with long oval leaves and clusters of star shaped flowers in white, pink, lavender or red.


PHILODENDRON.  Evergreen vines and shrubs with several interesting leaf forms.


PLUMBAGO auriculata  CAPE PLUMBAGO.  Vining shrub, with medium green leaves, and clusters of flowers, like phlox, in blue or white.



PLUMERIA  FRANGIPANI.  Thick stems and leathery leaves, with beautiful large flowers, in white, pink, yellow or red.  Very fragrant.

RHOEO discolor MOSES-IN-THE-BOAT, OYSTER PLANT.  Sword-like leaves, green on top, and purple underneath.  Small white flowers, in boat shaped bracts, amongst the leaves.


SETCRESEA pallida  PURPLE QUEEN.  Creeping plant, related to Wandering Jew.  Oval, jurple leaves with small pink flowers.


SPATHIPHYLLUM  PEACE LILLY.  Dark green leaves on stalks.  White calla-like flowers.  Varieties range from a few inches to several feet.



STRELITZIA  BIRD OF PARADISE.  Large leathery leaves, like bananas.  Orange bird gets to 5 ft.  White, or giant bird gets to 30 ft.


TECOMARIA capensis  CAPE HONEYSUCKLE.  Shrub, or vine (with support), leaves divided into many shiny leaflets.  Tubular, 2 in. orange blossoms.


THUNBERGIA grandiflora  BLUE SKY VINE.  Vigorous climber.  Heart shaped leaves, and clusters of large, pur blue flowers.


TIBOUCHINA  urvilleana  PURPLE GLORY BUSH.  Somewhat hairy leaves, edged red, and brilliant purple flowers.


URECHITES lutea  YELLOW MANDEVILLA.  Vigorous climber, with masses of bright yellow flowers.
